Our Story

we are a family with a restaurant and a garden on Lake Wateree, SC

The Retreat located on Lake Wateree in Ridgeway, South Carolina is inspired by celebrating family and the community. This scratch kitchen showcases locally sourced, seasonal ingredients in a friendly environment. 

Chef Blake’s approach and belief in representing local farmers drives the refined southern cuisine served at The Retreat. The southern charm extends through the whole restaurant as Heather's dedication to exceptional experience will provide you with a warm welcome in an elegant, yet relaxed atmosphere paired with attentive service.  

This married duo and their daughter started The Retreat knowing their family would grow into the team they work with and the customers they have come to know and love. They look forward to the opportunity to celebrate family with you and making memories that last a lifetime!

Our menu changes several times a week dependent on what we can source from local farms across the southeast region. We pride ourselves in serving fresh and local ingredients you can taste.
